What power do guests have when it comes to bad night club experiences ?

Is there a ruling body that can protect civilians when it comes to night clubs and their terrible bouncers? can we sue? get people fired? SHUT THE CLUB DOWN! somehow? I went to a club in Downtown Toronto, and within an hour , everything went terrible.
