Survey- What is the best method to remove....?

Adhesive from around someones mouth? I am babysitting and the kids kept annoying me by saying stuff like, can I have a drink and I'm hungry. So I taped their mouths shut. Now their mom is going to be home soon and I need to get the adhesive off that was left behind from the duct tape. Any ideas?
