My iguana is not eating for the last 4 days and looks like he's dying what should we do?

how long have you had this iguana? what are you feeding him, we need more details to tell you what to do but ultimately we are going to tell you to go to the vet becasue well, we are not vets and cant really give to good of medical advice. yes if your not shure whether or not it is a he or a she it may be a egg laiden she and she has a egg impaction. it could have intestinal parasites, pet stores sell a anti pest spray and wormer fro you iguana if you dont have a vet. im not shure how long you have had this iguana, but it wouldnt surprise me if you havent had it long. if your are not giving or providing the correct nutritional needs of a igunana they are very prone to bone deficiencies, expecially if it doesnot have the proper lighting and amount of light. the heat may be off, the humidity may be low. the tank or what ever enclosure your keeping the iguana in may be too small. i have heard that iguanas change colors sorta if they are feeling ill. have you noticed any color change, thinning, diareahha, or mucous? these are all signs of illness. also i have seen mouth rot in alot of iguanas from the cage being way way to small. i hope this isnt the case, mouth rot is hard to cure. umm, what else. iguanas and most other reptiles expecially if they have been moved to a new location in the room, being handled WAY to much can become stressed, and need to be left alone for awhile, and they will start eating again. all i can say is if there is not other signs of illness, the cage is pretty darn big ( theses lizards get very very large mind you) and your still not shure, maybe you go to the vet and he thinks he is fine or you treat it with stuff at the petstore, and are giving the correct food, giving the exact amount of light needed, giving it fresh food and water. then i am not shure what to tell you. just go to the vet it would be alot more easier than trusting one of us to predict whats wrong with the iguana. im not trying to sound rude. but if your life was in someone elses hands would you want somebody on here asking other people that may know something may not know something about what they should do?
