Does a hysterectomy keep you from getting ?

i am only 24, but i am thinking for the future. everyone in my mother's side of the family had to have early hysterectomies. (mid 30's) i follow in her footsteps as far as when i started my period, how heavy it was, (IT WAS TERRIBLE and would go on for weeks...until i finally got on birth control when i was 14 for that reason.) and painful bloating. i will probably have to get one, also. i just don't wanna lose my drive.
