What non-partisan methods can we use to educate first-time voters so that they're confident on election day?

Print out fliers that would say things like, Think for yourselves, not what is expected of you! So many young voters do not educate themselves, It is so easy to jump on a bandwagon rather than getting the real answers. That is a problem in our country. Research their voting records, that is a big one. And so simple to find, with the internet, compared to years ago!
