Any chance Joss Whedon and the powers that be might resurrect the Serenity- Firefly franchise?

Only one of the best Sci Fi movies (Serenity) and series (Firefly) ever produced. I think it's more popular now then when it was originally aired. Any folks in the 'biz' that might have a notion?
