Get into Symphonic Band in High SCHOOL!!!?

Im in Concert badn in middle school right now and i reallt really want to get in a higher level band in high school so i really want to get into Symphonic Band at least which is the 2nd performing band at the high school im going to next year so what are some things i should work on to be able to get into dat band i play Tenor Saxophone right now so tips on how to get better on that too
