Why do people change their hair color?

Almost every person i know that has had red hair has changed the color of it. Their hair was absolutely gorgeous before and then they die it and ruin it completely! What are people thinking when they ruin their hair? Not only red heads, any girl even if their hair isn't naturally red and gorgeous. I mean girls would kill for red hair. It's so beautiful. Lindsey Lohan, Kate Winslet, other people! Are they on crack? I mean i'm 13 and i have no desire to ever die my hair so don't tell me that it's because young people are stupid. Girls that die your hair, what is going through your head? I'm not talking about people who enhance their natural hair color. I'm talking about the pink and blue or blond stupid highlights. Or changing your color completely. People should be happy with how their are. Everybody is constantly trying to change themselves. It's so stupid. 10 points to tell me what's going on up there!
