Thinking of piercing my right ear...?

but I am the biggest wuss you could ever imagine! I'm not gonna lie! Is there a way that the piecer could numb my ear? Or maybe a self-method that I can numb my ear? Maybe like submerging my lobe into ice water for a while. What's the deal with using a lemon? I have thick lobes by the way. Help me out here, please!
