Caught shoplifting at Walmart, received letter.?

My parents recieved a letter saying, A complaint has been made against your child ******, from the Wal-mart Department Store for an incident occuring on july 1, Juvenile prosectures office has requested that Juvenile court attempt to handle the matter unofficially. something about a YES program and its $45.00 it says failure to appear in this conference will result in this matter being referred back to the prosecutors office for further consideration, i obviously will go, but i just want to know does this mean im not being charged and this wont go on my record, i dont need people saying your dumb for stealing, i know that already...and btw if u couldnt tell im a minor
